The verdict

Great

Jason gives this viral pork-free Korean grill in Sri Hartamas a strong verdict: legit good food with epic side dishes, anchored by the Dechang Jukumi. The catch is the 40-minute wait and a wallet-weeping RM262 bill, with the squid dish alone costing RM140.

Highlights

  • Price: Dechang Jukumi RM140 at RM70 per pack with minimum pack rules; total bill RM262
  • Taste: Fresh bouncy squid, creamy beef intestine, and a killer slightly peppery gochujang sauce on the bibim myeon
  • Ambiance: Viral and busy with a waiting list; they seat you in a room and give aprons because it gets messy
  • Other: Pork-free, cooked for you at the table, and plenty of side dishes to reset your palette

This place is viral. It's called Busan Zip in Sri Hatamas. Britain there, pork-free. First thing you'll be looking at is the waiting list. Make sure to write your name down lah. There was 8 tables ahead of us and we waited a grand total of 40 minutes for our return. Lemon members! They brought us into a room. They give you aprons, use it, it will get messy. You're looking at the Dechang Jukumi. It will make your wallet cry. They will cook it for you so just sit back and watch the magic happen. First word, fresh. Their squid also very bouncy and firm. Very tasty. This is legit good. Mmm. The beef intestine is very creamy and tasty. I think only because of the mahan namam pui price. Other than that, it's really good. 8.5. Must order. It's like the main dish to all your side dishes. Bibim Mil Mion. Mmm. The killer here is the sauce. Gochujang sauce. Really good. Teppery a bit. Salty. Eat it with the radish lagi. Shut up, gang. Easily 8.7. Korean beef pancakes. I really like because it has a bit of that telodada taste. Quite strong on the beefy taste. You might not like this, but it's good. With the octopus and some of the sauce here. And the beef is so tender you don't notice it's done. Easily 8. Seaweed roll with glass noodle. Every dish we ordered mixed well with this. This is my least favourite but it's still very good. Plenty of side dishes to reset your palette because there's a lot of flavour bombs here. Side dishes are epic. There's a decent soundness to it. Two hundred and sixty-two ringgit. Two hundred and forty ringgit was all that you saw in the video. The one that took up the most money by far that made my wallet weep. Dechang Jukumi. Hundred and forty ringgit. Seventy ringgit per pack. And I think you have to order the minimum number of packs depending on how many people you bring along. Let me try to call them to clarify. This is the voice mailbox for...
