The verdict
BolehJason finds this viral two-star diner a good concept poorly executed, with bland burgers and an incomplete 50s diner vibe. Only the creamy chocolate milkshake impressed, while the cajun prawn burger was a disaster.

- Taste: Bland classic burger, tasty but salty cajun sauce, rich creamy milkshake

I went to this viral Gigi Coffee Diner with two stars on Google and here's my experience. We queue to order but only two burgers available at the time, total of 53 ringgit for two burgers and a milkshake. Went inside sat down and I realised we were given 50% off. First of all very grateful, but why? Was it a promo or they ran out of fries because outside Say got fries but what we ordered was just a la carte. Imagine without the discount it's 62 ringgit. 15 minutes later we got our full classic 16 ringgit. The girlfriend said this. I don't like to eat a lot of sauce. Actually, it's not bad. Except they're better with this of McDonald's cheeseburger. I tried it and I was like girl are you insane? McDonald's might have a lot of issues but their cheeseburger was one of my childhood favourites. Okay, this burger had a buttery taste from the mayo but the cheese and patty, the taste although okay, it was quite bland. The flavours don't pop. For 16 ringgit and no fries, the flavours better be dancing in my mouth but it's not. It's a 5 out of 10. Chocolate milkshake, 18 ringgit. Feels like daylight robbery. But okay, this was good. Overall very creamy and rich but the one I tried at Christine was 16 ringgit. Bigger portion and tastier. 6.8. Spicy cajun prawn was oh my god. Oh my god bad. I'm going to talk about the good first. The sauce was very tasty. The cajun does come through but some of you are going to find it very salty. The bad, the patty was terrible. It feels like mushy hash browns. There were only two small prawns stuck to the patty and the rest of the patty just felt like it was made with potato. The whole burger just tasted like cajun sauce. Very one-dimensional. Just get a 3 ringgit barbecue chipster and you can get a similar experience. Giving it a 1.8. GG Coffee Diner currently seems like a good concept but executed poorly, at least for me. It's giving diner under-renovation vibes. It feels incomplete. Got the chair, got the door. But not much else to give the feeling like you're transported to the 50s or 60s Ang Moorland Punya Diner. For me, a diner has to have that long sit-down counter. That would have been cool. And to think they would have had the money by how much they charged for that spicy cajun burger. And it's 6 ringgit for hash browns. The environment is just typical fast food restaurant with stools. Hype because swipe? Totally swipe. Yeah.
