Iftar Food Republic

I went to the Iftar Food Republic at Setia Alam Convention Centre's parking lot. Sub kambeng, buku original, air kelapa, nasi kanda, om kedap, susu kurma, samurai churros, cendawan goreng berempa, and finally pogedil. The cendawan goreng berempa that I got was cold and not as fresh anymore but still got rangop la. This tastes like kerupoleko chili sauce I like. Cheese dip good but wish it was slightly thicker. With the dip is a 6.5. Churros amazing by itself, crispy outside, soft inside. Chocolate dip made it even better. Sedap though! The caramel dip is the perfect match for me. I like pinang di belah 2. Giving this 8.2. Okay girlfriend, guess what this is? Sayamil. Susu kurma. Milk is refreshing to me but as an 8 ringgit drink this is underwhelming. This one has the kurma beets inside. You'll feel the texture but won't taste much of it. It's refreshing but I feel the kurma taste is not strong enough. This nasi kanda originated from kedah. Even with the 3 kuah it was still quite tasteless. Majorly missing saltiness, sweetness and a bit of spiciness. The salted egg does help add the flavour. Bandy was fresh even the chicken was tender but it was missing the marination of the sauce. Eating with hands makes it tastier but you can tell the sauce was the deal breaker. Nasi kanda gets a 5. I love coconut water so this one has to be good right? It's refreshing but it's not coconut at all, I wouldn't call this coconut. If this one is so as air gula ice, I'll give it a 7. I got this soup kambing for 15 ringgit and it also comes with rice. The mutton was so muttony and tender and the soup tebal nak mampui! Eh really the soup was so thick and creamy. Not too watery, peppery or oily. The proof is in this big pot of kambing pudding. If you know, you know. Easily at 8.7. This is the buko lychee and the portion is huge. I think this is 2 to 3 packs at least. It's got aga-aga, natadi cocoa, crushed lychee and it's all drenched in this sirup bandong tasting drink. But it gets muat for me too easily. This is a sweet tooth dream but for me a 6.2 out of 10. This is my first popiya burger deal and it's going to be based on that experience. It says 100% setup but I don't think it's speaking to me. First of all the good hot fresh thin crispy outer layer. The bad everything overpowered by the potato both texture and taste. Deeping in the chili padi kijab helps but even the beef was still mushy and somehow still tasted like potato. This is a 4.8.
