Food panel invited me to try these five dishes at Lan Jie, Kota Kemunimu. I ordered from food delivery before so now I try it in restaurant Purak. I like that the steamed fish starts from 18 ringgit and for tai chow this is considered average pricing. Got two of their signature steamed fish, spicy and non-spicy. This tai chow yu is soft and juicy and it's quite strong on the ginger taste. I can get a bit too bitter but overall it's tasty. The spicy version has the same quality of fish I like. You take one bite you already know the chilli has kicked. It tastes a bit similar to the other one but this one got the chilli spice. Another thing I like about this one is the fish is fresh. Price portion and taste is good 7.8. The salted egg squid was surprising because we usually don't like super deep fried Chinese dishes. What I don't like about this, fried sotong usually is the tepung it's very thick and it's very oily. Sounds very light but they can still retain the tasty deep friedness of the tepung but it feels like it was reheated rather than cooked fresh 7.5. The sweet potato leaf I wish had more taste to it but they did a good job stir frying it. It was soft and moist because if you don't do it right sweet potato leaf can easily be dry. If only it had more flavor. Some slight seasonings like the onion, a bit of garlic, a bit of salt and that's it. Sufeng likes it but I always like a dish with more taste 6.5. Lala is my top 3 seafood so they better get this right. It's bouncy, it's firm means it's fresh. The lala we get is juicy. What about the soup? It's light, it has no wine goji berry ginger for me. The soup needs more punch. Between light creamy and thick sauce this is a bit lighter than light. But overall was still tasty 7 out of 10. Finally deep fried prawns and I already know the girlfriend's gonna ask me to peel. My last time I put round 5. Sauce looks perkard but is it good? You taste the sauce now. Tastes like what? Crab. Yes. Crab sauce. Yes. That's why I say you like this. I do like crab sauce. It reminds me of my mom's cooking. And for them to put like a crab style sauce in. This prawn has a similar texture to crab. It mixes very well. I like the heat. The heat is weird for me. It's bitter. I don't know why. The prawn itself looks juicy. The texture of the prawn is in the middle of bouncy and starchy. But the sauce makes everything delicious even the rice. This crab sauce is on the sweet side. A bit salty. But I can say I'm giving this 8.2 out of 10. My mom's cooking on this one better. I don't know, I think I'll question.
