I heard this place has very kaw matcha. The name is Nikoneko Matcha, and it looks like they're having a very busy Saturday. It's mostly two colour palettes here, greyscale and green. It's an open kitchen concept and the way they make matcha makes me feel like they have pride in doing it. But does that translate to good matcha? While my girlfriend waits for the queue, I ask some kind patrons for their opinions. I think there's too much milk, 7 out of 10. I really like the roasted smell of the matcha taste which really enhance the matcha. 8.5 The pure matcha taste, 9 over 10. It's our turn to order, they also have desserts but first drinks. Iced ran latte, normal milk, normal sugar. The matcha is very pure, a bit salty, bitter not really. It tastes almost like pea, as in like P-E-A, green peas. It's like drinking chicken essence. Even as a non-matcha drinker right, I can appreciate how pure this is, 7.2. Our pomidori, it's even smaller than the ran ice latte. Yeah, I don't think my palette is refined to the point where I can tell the difference between the okumidori and ran. I will just buy the cheaper one. Slightly more savory, slightly more smooth but 80% of their taste is going to be more or less the same. 7.3 Matcha mango roulette, 13 ringgit. Oh a piece, it's very expensive! Yeah, the size is like a Swiss robe. The cream is very good! Yeah, if you really like matcha, this is a no-brainer. Even I can appreciate the hint of bitterness that you get from the matcha powder 7.1. These are their signature crunch cubes. We are starting it off with plain old matcha. I like the taste. But I don't like it, the more you buy it, the better it is. So this is like a white chocolate paste with matcha and got the feral roche texture. The one thing I don't like about this, the price. If you get 4 pieces like this, it'll be 22 ringgit. And this one piece is 5 ringgit. 50 cent mozicha! One thing ah, I was expecting inside to be creamy one but it's not, it's compact. Roasted smoky flavour. Can you mind? Actually it's different. It looks like banana cake texture. Roasted brown rice. That's what's inside here. The unique taste, would you say? Unique! But ah, you'll feel jellak. After your third cube ah, it becomes very sweet. Even though the portion is so small, the flavour is so strong. Green tea plus and light. Also good. Nice balance between the brown rice and the matcha. 8.3. This is really almost potong kaki level. If you're a type that can tahan the sweetness, not to say you are a sweet tooth. Tahan on this. I think you will really like it. Mokuren mini burnt cheesecake. It is what it is, isn't it? It is what it is. It is cheesecake mixed with matcha. Smooth, velvety, creamy, thick. This is the whipped cream. Good buttery taste. Manages to stay light and airy which balances well with the texture of the cake 8.2.
