The verdict
BolehA Johor-style satay spot in Puchong where the beef tenderloin satay is the clear winner — juicy, lean and worth the price. The asam pedas telur mayong underwhelms at RM40, but the biryani kambing and lontong sambal sotong hold up well.

I'm on this road in Puchong, and behind me there's Johor food. It's called Nuru Satay Batang Pinang. You can eat here? Here you also can. Satay batang campur, 21 ringgit, 50 cents, nasi impet, kukumbur, onion, kuak. What I've been told, Johor satay is different, it adds more rempah to it. Very tasty, normal satay kuak. I can describe the beef as very juicy and chewy, it's not super tender but it's not rubbery. Yes their satay daging is batang pinang aka beef tenderloin, and it's considered one of the best cuts on a beef. Jigan. Tasty, tasty. Very tasty. I much prefer the beef. Another thing I love about this satay here, very lean, even with the price, I think it's very good. 3, 2, 1. 8 asam pedas telur mayong, 40 ringgit. Mahan naman. But fish roll usually doesn't come cheap. You know when I tried some asam pedas that is not sour one? Is that water? Yeah. This one is so flavourful. Very sour and quite spicy. This is my first time eating telur mayong. As I expected, the juice pops out but it's not, it's more chewy when the telur mayong itself doesn't have taste. The taste comes from the asam pedas. It makes me feel like I'd rather just get fish or beef and save the price. Unless you are really into the texture, which is chewy. Thambau. Thambau is good. Asam memang ada, pedas memang ada. Ikan mayong is underwhelming. For this price, I would expect different tastes from this fish roll that you cannot get from any other meat from their selection. 6.8. Nasi biryani kambing, 25.90. They give a lot of pineapple. I like pineapple. Got the salty flavour, got the spice, the herbs. The herbs taste is very strong. I haven't eaten yet but it feels very... Very tender. People who don't like the lamb taste will not like this because it's very strong when the lamb tastes. I love the lamb texture, I love the lamb taste. If you have both of it on marasiannese on the sweet side. Portion. If I take out everything, this much is bone, this much plus the ones we ate is meat. Quite a lot of meat. 7.7 lontong sambal sotong, 12 ringgit 90 cents. Strong on the prawn taste, the lontong. Plain tasting. But lontong itself memang no taste. Yeah, it's just for the texture. Sambal sotong tastes expected. This is dried, sotong. The sambal got kicked. The soup is also full of flavours. Creamy, a bit salty. Santani. Another tasty dish right here. I wish they gave more noodles. My favourite part of this dish is the noodle. 7. I have to mention this place also has unlimited refills. You want to make it sweeter or more sour was okay. Some of them diluted which is to be expected but my favourite is the syrup.
