The verdict
BolehJason tries the viral Maggi claypot at Restoran Nathan Corner, a mamak spot with a KL skyline view that he calls the most expensive Maggi he's ever tried. The cheese makes the gravy extra creamy and savoury with a thick, milky kari kepala ikan-style curry, but the seafood portion is small and the price is very premium, earning a 6.5. He warns it gets brutally hot if you arrive early — come after 6pm instead.
Highlights
- Price: Very premium — 'the most expensive Maggi I'm going to try'; cheese add-on makes it pricier ('mahal nak mamat')
- Taste: Cheese makes it creamier and extra savoury; gravy is thick and milky like kari kepala ikan, one level above canned curry; noodles very soft and mushy; no weird seafood taste
- Ambiance: Romantic KL view date spot, but scorching hot ('panas nak mampui') for 2 hours if you arrive at 5pm
- Other: Arrived 5pm for golden-hour lighting but recommends coming after 6pm; shot on DJI Pocket 4P

This is the most expensive Maggi I'm going to try. I'll be using the pocket 4P to review this Maggi with a KL view. Real talk, I want to pack lighter but still have the look I like because constantly carrying a heavy setup especially for the girlfriend makes so much of our time together feel like a production. Today we're on our once-in-a-lifetime dating spot, Restaurant GS Nathan Corner. I like to rotate like this so I can record 4K in vertical. If it's like this right, it will only be 3K. I want to be trying some of their Maggi claypot because I've been seeing so much on my FYP. Claypot Maggi, sotong and udang. I added cheese, mahal nak man. This cheese makes it way more creamier and extra savoury but the noodles mushy, very very soft. Very pekat. The curry is more like kari kepala ikan, very kao. Let's try the seafood because I think that's what makes most of the price but looking at the prawn, it's a small kind. You got some sotong here. The cheese is crazy. Your everyday paprik type that they use, cuttlefish kind of texture. No weird seafood taste but very premium price. I do like the curry taste, it's nice. The seafood portion, not much lah. I would say there's three levels to a thickness of a curry right. First one is the instant curry noodle, that's the lightest and then you got the one that comes in the tin can where you put a braid also quite nice. This one is one level above that. So kari kepala ikan is thicker, is milkier thanks to the cheese also, 6.5.
