I tried this highly-reviewed hidden food spot. It's called Scones Canteen in Damansara, Perdana. Where is it? Go inside this building, it's on the ground floor, cross the bridge and then you can see Scones Canteen already. This is the root beer float, basically they use the A&W root beer with typical ice cream. It tastes good but I can make it myself for less, 5 out of 10. Lychee drink, nothing wrong with it but very normal. It's also a fine. We're looking at the Scones Ultimatum Cheeseburger. I don't know what to tell you about the fries, it tastes like it's deep fried and marinated in Chrysantimum tea. It just has a very weird taste that french fries shouldn't have. What about the thick AF cheeseburger? Expect this to be a sloppy burger, I mean look at the juice falling out. So it's either good or bad depending on your preference. Second, none of the ingredients are coming together. The Australian beef brisket was hollow inside and full of tenders. The bread was stale, I couldn't taste the cheese, everything was just a mess. So sad! This burger gets a 2. Ayy, the spicy chicken aglio oleo looks appetising. Spoiler alert, this garlic bread is the best thing out of this entire dinner. I trust my girlfriend's ooh expression and I myself tried it. It was buttery, salty, it could have been crispier but overall it's good. Plus one to the spaghetti, it was al dente but the sauce for me fell flat. For someone who loves spicy, this wasn't spicy. The sauce itself had a very strong Maggi chicken aftertaste. For the price, it's a 4 for me and the total damage is 50 ringgit. Why were the reviews so high? Did I pick the wrong menu item? Is it just my taste? You can try it out yourself. In the end, we didn't eat the fries.
RM50-50 · Garlic bread
