The verdict
BolehA decent seafood spot with a solid lemak chili padi prawn and Thai steamed garupa, but the Portuguese grilled pari falls flat with no char and a confusing sauce. Overall a middling experience after the high expectations from Meatpoint.

I review Meatpoint and a lot of you asked me to try the seafood version. 4.9, over 500 reviews. Seapoint, DTDI. Lemak chili padi prawn, 300 grams, 42 ringgit for 7 pieces of tiger prawns. It's one of those more average-sized prawns. Spicy at first. Gravy doesn't feel watery, it's as if they blend all the ingredients together. Feels texturized, giving a go at their prawn. Not the freshest I've tasted but it's not still also. Not the bouncy processed meat texture, it's the slightly mashy one. I'll touch out the udang, creamy slightly sweet. This lemak chili padi, you get spicy first, then you get quite a bit of saltiness and onion is the most dominant flavour. This is savoury for sure. They help you peel the body already. A lot of the gravy is marinated with the meat here, 7.2. Seapoint, you can choose your fish one, we got the garupa, Thai steamed fish style, RM90 in total. Are you straight from the ocean and onto my plate? The texture, very firm. I mean not bad but not something that you cannot get from tuk-tuk for example. Piece of their fish. Spicy sourness from the soup. Definitely that pungent smell from the coriander and of course the signature lemongrassy flavour you get. Very strong on the sourness, one of the more spicier Thai steamed fish but the flavour that gets you the most is the garlic. 7. I really like Portuguese grilled pari. Usually I'm used to a more watery sauce but this is like paste. Wipe out all the chilli, the size is smaller than what it looks. 300g, RM33, kicap manis, chilli tumbok, sweet Thai chilli. Let's grab a piece right here. I got a glimpse of like Nando's berry sauce a bit. I don't think it's a good combination. The pungentness from the coriander and that strong coconutty milk. It feels awful thing to me. That extra thing that they put in, to me it feels like in between the minyak angin hitam and a gamey type of taste that you find in a lamb shank. It feels like a sauce more meant for red meat than seafood. Chilli tumbok. Vegetal chilli seed. How about this? The Thai chilli sauce is quite good. Spicy cake got that signature sourness and sweetness. So for the stingray itself I think it's tender. I don't feel the baka. No char, grill or crispiness from the stingray at all. As a stingray lover, 4.5.
