Dishes tried
- A5 wagyu brisket
Sukiyaki style with egg; cuts like a knife through butter
- A5 wagyu short plate
Tender like a hamburger patty, smooth but fattier and whiter
- A5 wagyu chuck roll
His favourite cut; thicker yet more tender with even marbling
- Sukiyaki with cotton candy
Modern gimmick, but too syrupy and sweet for him
- Kombu soup
Least favourite; diluted miso that dulls the meat quality
- Spicy soup
Tomato sauce with chilli kick, used for the crab
- Horsehair crab
Briny and strong; creamy head like fish roe and prawn head
- Snow crab
Soft seafood-y meat; time-consuming to pick, hard to tell from horsehair crab
- Salmon sashimi
Incredibly fresh and tender; unlimited with abalone and caviar
- Abalone sashimi
Just okay; bouncy but dry, lacking buttery richness
- Caviar
Gentle pop with fresh ocean flavour; unlimited caviar is wild
- Häagen-Dazs ice cream
Six flavours; chocolate almond is his favourite

What can you get for a RM298 buffet? A5 wagyu, crab, sashimi, some wagyu stew. Is that a crab leg? And why is Moon adding cotton candy in my soup? Oh yeah, Moon is the staff where she serves and cooks for you. Prepared by the chefs at Shabu Fuku in Avenue K. Mummy said for one pack, RM298. Trying the brisket first. Okay, mix it with the egg. There you go. Your teeth is like knife. It's so easy to cut through the meat. Cotton candy. We need to like something special or something modern. That's why we put the cotton candy. But for the taste, what is it at? Just sweetness? Now we're trying the short plate. It's like eating a very tender hamburger patty at the same time it's smooth. I like the meat but I don't really like the sukiyaki, especially with the cotton candy. It's too syrupy and sweet to the point of soy, garlic, Korean fried chicken. Maximum level mockability. If I want to change soup, is it however many times? No extra cost? I'm gonna dip some of the chuck roll inside the soup. I've eaten other chuck rolls that are more thinly sliced. Even though this is thicker, it still feels more tender and soft. I think I like the chuck more. So I'm gonna add this to the kombu soup. I get it now. You see for chuck roll, the marbling is more even. For short plate, the meat looks more white. AKA a lot of the fats. Brisket, greater looking, more lean meat. So far I've tried both soups. Kombu is my least favourite. It's a diluted miso soup that has the CBD flavour and it doesn't bring out the quality of the meat as much. They give this kegane crab also. The bulu and the hand. Oh my god, it feels like a toilet brush. Turning it in. Try the spicy soup. It's like tomato sauce with chilli flavour on it. Cooked crab meat. They give the scissors to cut also. Quite thick. Oh the crab meat, no joke. Briny seafoody flavour is there. Strong la on this crab. Easy, easy kepala. The head is mixed with the soup already. Jom. Salty cream-like texture that tastes like a cross between fish roe and prawn head. I have gathered the crab meat. Worked so hard for this one scoop. Delicate, soft. Not all the way pasty. You can still feel a little stringiness. This is the mazuba kane aka snow crab. Besar naman pui lah, the kaki. Yeah this is the body. The one that will take up a lot of your two hours as the crab meat. It's a very soft meat. Seafood taste is there. Honestly I cannot tell the difference between this and the horsehair crab. This is just one of their few sashimi selections. Comes with salmon sashimi, abalone and caviar. That's crazy and this is unlimited lah. It's incredibly fresh. The salmon meat is so tender. Abalone. Bouncy mushroom-like texture. For me the abalone is just okay. It doesn't have the buttery richness. It's quite dry. The seafood flavour is also not much here. Ohhhh. That's how the others people do it. Gentle pop. I'm getting fresh ocean from this. Infinite caviar is wild. They got not three but six hargandas flavours. I'm gonna try my favourite lah chocolate almond. So this shabu fuku mame buffet style. I do not find anything that is alarming. There are beef cuts which is the main stuff. It's good quality. The crab, I prefer those chunkier stringy texture. But it still tastes good and it's still fresh. The one sashimi that I ate, very fresh. A lot of other options that I just do not have the stomach to try. RM298 with the variety, quality. I think it's a very good excuse for a momentous occasion like anniversary. Take a good spot for you to bring your girlfriend, your boyfriend. And I think they'll be pleasantly surprised. 8.5. Just got our receipt. Total damage, RM691. And I realised with service charge and SSD, it's almost another RM100.
