The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

It's my second time in Subang Parade in three days. The first time I went to CBTL to check if there are tiramisu in stock. Tiramisu ada ah? Tak ada. Beliau restock ah? Next chance. Today is my second attempt. Girlfriend faster! Before the tiramisu monster snatch them away. Tiramisu for two looks like they have. RM23.90. Add their cream crown, RM2.80. They say your cream crown have to stir first one. Some other people say they got it very watery. From what I see lah, the texture looks consistent. The first thing I get is the cocoa powder. Bittersweet toffee, macam Kopi O sweet. Saya faham kenapa orang kata yang ini macam biasa. Sebab tiada rasa dan rasa yang luar biasa yang datang. Tetapi pada masa yang sama, saya juga dapat lihat kenapa banyak orang suka. Sebab ia cukup berbalan. In terms of bittersweet, it's very even. Middle here, they really drenched it with some sort of black coffee. Portion that can feed two to three people for a dessert. Value here wins. Overall, the mouthfeel, it's very soft. The cake layer alone feels very airy, spongy, watery. But if you eat it together, it's thicker than other tiramisu. I think because of their generous cheese. The cream crown also helps with that. I don't know if they use mascarpone cheese, but I think it adds a more richer buttery texture to the tiramisu. Compared to other ridiculously priced tiramisu out there that may even offer less than this. 7.6
