Jason finds the Penang-style dishes solid but pricey, with the char kway teow lacking wok hei and the mee goreng good but not worth RM19.80. The chendol is the standout, with exceptional santan and fresh red bean. He'd return for the chendol and drinks.

I tried three popular Penang dishes made by a Penang Lang chef, but the restaurant is in KL. The chef himself said the food was in the process. Char kway teow, mee goreng, it's very famous in Penang to add pork lard, pork oil. I'm interested to see their Muslim-friendly version without any of that and how good it tastes. This is RM19.80, mahan amampui! Try test. Yeah, it's good, but the wok hay is not cow enough for me. Kway teow is easy to tear, got some toin-toin one. Their siham is shriveled up, tastes more like mussel than siham. They got this crunchy looking thing. I think they replaced this with pork lard, has a deep fried flavour. Tastes a bit like that but not as oily. Their scallops look chonky, chonky little boy, meat is bouncy. It does have three prawns, consider this medium size lah. Very normal. Really gotta feel that char from the wok you know, this one don't have. But overall the taste is very solid. That price tag to a char kway teow, it's very hard to get it out of your mind that it's mahan amampu even with a scallop. 7.3. Yummy, goreng, H-Cham Road, a very legendary store in Penang one. The sauce, the chili all from there. Let's see if it's up to the height. First thing I want to do, pichet limau lah of course. Apa lagi? Pichet lah limau. The sauce tastes like if you add chili padi to a sauce tiram plus some paprika. I might sound crazy but bear with me, I think it tastes something like this kapal terbang biscuit one. They give you half an egg. For 1980 I would have hoped they at least give one whole egg. Potato, tofu, kueh shouldn't add too much to the cost. The only thing I see here is the sotong maybe the sauce they deliver from Penang so that will add to the cost. But as a customer, you don't see that am I right? What you see is mi goreng attached to a 19 ringgit 80 cent price tag. I think there's nothing wrong with the way it's cooked. It has a high gelat level because of that very strong saucy flavor. But I can see some people who enjoyed it. 6.9. Another dish that I'm so picky of is chendol. They ask cost 9 ringgit 80 cents. It's not a cheap chendol but it's a chendol in the link lah so... Oh wow! The milk and the santan is... memang stand out one. Right? It's not normal santan. Yeah, it doesn't feel like normal santan. I will come here for your drink and your pizza. The red bean is the slightly sweet kind and it's fresh because you know how some red bean is frozen? Ah that was when it's not nice. Even their chendol is very... It's very thick and it leaves you that aftertaste. The chendol aftertaste. It's very soft but it's almost jelly-like also when you eat. But you know what would be cool, okay fam? If they maybe just add something extra for 9.80? Like sago? Correct! Something like a sago, like an extra ingredient. But I think that could be too much for some people. Because I know how some of you, like me, like the chendol very simple one. I want to show you read it. Let's read it together. Let's read it together. 3, 2, 1, 8! After eating, I want to know. Chakwee Teow and Mee Goreng. I feel that it's not enough to be able to eat. In this area, there is a lot of price compared with other places. Even though the products we use are imported from Penang. Genji! Genji!
