Not worth the hype — Woodfire isn't it, and the burger hunt continues. The stuffed cheeseburger was onion-heavy at 4/10, while the huge brisket burger was tender but overpriced at 6/10. RM73 for two burger sets felt disappointing.

Highlights

  • Price: 2 burger sets cost RM73; brisket burger alone is RM40
  • Taste: Brisket tender with sweet sauce; cheeseburger overpowered by onion
  • Ambiance: Quiet Tuesday night, short wait, kids toys, books and a couch
  • Other: Orders ready in about 10 minutes, possibly pre-cooked

Huh? Cutie Panda, is this the best burger? So many recommendations! Apparently a very highly rated burger shop called Woodfire in TTDI. True or not? We picked our most recommended, the stuffed cheeseburger and brisket burger. Uyoh, 2 burgers set for RM73. Better be worth it! We went on a Tuesday night, not many people there. Only 4 orders before us. Don't worry if you're waiting long, got kids toys lah, got books, and then a couch somewhere for you to sit. Our order came quick that day, around 10 minutes only. Which made me think, did they pre-cook ah? Ok I summarise again, we ordered the beef brisket burger, the stuffed cheeseburger which comes with the curly fries in a set. Curly fries had the expected taste, there's no onion inside like some do. And it was served in room temperature. I'm guessing, it wasn't fresh from the deep fryer. Overall man! Ah ini lah, they're the stuffed cheeseburger. It comes with lettuce, 1 beef patty with cheese, turkey slice and caramelised onions. No way... It's quite juicy but their problem really is the onion. Is this RM20 burger really as disappointing as my girlfriend says? So this one feels like the onion is overpowering the burger, the meat itself. Girlfriend is kind of right, it tastes a bit like the cheeseburger. But it's less beefy the taste. If I would call it right, it's more like onion burger. Wouldn't recommend this, I don't know why this is one of their top 4. Stuffed cheeseburger for us, 4 out of 10. Brisket burger is like beef on beef. It's humungously gigantic and I don't even know if that's a word. This side. Listen guys don't get me wrong, the beef is very tender and well cooked. It's got that sweet taste from the sauce. But is it the best burger though? I don't think so lah guys. There's so much beef to this but just remember this burger cost RM40. Considering this price over the portion and the taste, out of 10 we gave it a 6. Woodfire is not it for me so I'm still on my burger hunt. Which burger should I try next?
